programs, including one on sustainable paints by
Matthew Heald of Sherwin-Williams.

Homes, built a Habitat for Humanity home as part
of the “The House That the House Built” project
supported by TBA and 2013 President Shane Lambert,

2013 ANNUAL REPORT (CONTINUED)
The MCEC also delivered quality seminars for members and
sponsored the classes that saw 22 TBA members earn the
Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation.
In another MCEC project, the number of Construction Industry
Professionals (CIPS) grew to 16… a sign of TBA’s commitment to
construction quality and customer service.
On the fun side of things, TBA hosted another outstanding fishing
tournament – chaired by Garth Easton of Pro-Build – and an
excellent golf tournament, chaired by Tom Asbury of Premier Fine
Homes.
TBA members worked hard at the state and national levels of the
federation in 2013…with Ed Dion serving as Vice Chair of the
Southeast Building Conference SEBC and Karen Koelemij serving
as Florida’s State Representative to NAHB.
So many of TBA’s achievements in 2013 were made possible by
generous sponsors, including: City of Tallahassee Natural Gas
Utility (Platinum), Prime Meridian Bank, James Hardie Building
Products, Capelouto Termite & Pest Control, Hancock Bank,
Perkins Electric, Roberts Sand Company, ABC Supply … and so
many more.
Now… the stage is set for our new President Masoud Karimipour
and Second Vice President David Perkins…to build on that
success…as we know they will.
Thank you Shane, Doug and all the TBA leaders and members
who made 2013 a great year for TBA.
