AGS Handles Major
Distribution of Flat Panel TVs
for a Leading Manufacturer
and Best Known Brand
Over 15,000 TVs delivered to consumers
across the country on-time and damage free
NEW HYDE PARK, NY –
New York based Associated
Global Systems (AGS), a full service transportation and logistics
provider, has just completed a massive Home Delivery distribution
of flat panel TVs for one of the world’s largest manufacturers.
To support their peak sales period of TVs from Black Friday
through Christmas, AGS was selected to coordinate pick-ups
seven days per week and distribute TVs from 42” up to 80” to
consumers in time for the holidays. More than 15,000 TVs were
delivered over a five week period to homes in all 50 states.
These e-commerce deliveries required residential and business
appointments with customers having the choice of three White
Glove delivery options; Threshold service just beyond the front
door, Room of Choice service including up or down stairs, or
Assembly and Plug In service when requested.
Consumers were able to call the AGS National Control Center at
800-645-8300 anytime of the day or night, seven days a week for
status on a shipment or to reschedule a delivery appointment. The
program was highly successful for achieving an on-time delivery
rate of 99.5%, accounting for less than one quarter of one percent
refusal rate for damage, and providing same day resolution to
service escalations; exceeding every performance benchmark.
AGS’ premium white glove delivery service to businesses and
residences offers a customized supply chain solution to and from
every zip code in the country. This white glove delivery service is
an ideal method for delivery of time-definite and sensitive products
including computers, printers, TVs, kiosks, retail store displays
and fixtures, fitness equipment, furniture and office equipment.
