he 15
th
annual Sunbelt Builders Show™ was one of the best in
recent memory.The 2015 Show turned out over 3,000 registrants,
including more than 2,000 builders and sold out its trade show
floor six weeks prior to the event. The Show brought in 87 new vendors
and saw 113 loyal vendors return to the highly trafficked event.
The week started with the yearly HOMEPAC FUNdango and
the second annual Washers Championship. Seventeen teams
competed in the statewide championship after winning their local
tournaments, while 31 teams paired up to participate in the buy-in
portion of the event.
Chad Hennings, a Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champion and Veteran
U.S. Air Force Combat Pilot, was the standout opening session speaker
as he encouraged all to Live a Life of Excellence. The following day was
highlighted with general sessions from Beth Ziesenis, “A Day in the
Life of a Nerdy Home Builder” and Dr. Jim Gaines and Ross Ramsey,
“The Politics of Texas and Their Impact on the Economy.”
The prestigious Star Awards wrapped up the conference Thursday
night at the Gaylord Texan® Resort and Convention Center
in Grapevine.
