Trigg Forister passed at
the age of 81 in Austin,
Texas on May 13, 2015.
Trigg was a home builder
in Austin, TX, a career
he began in 1963 which spanned almost 50
years. He was a hard-working professional
who dedicated himself not only to his own
homebuilding business but also to furthering
the entire building industry. Active locally
in the HBA of Greater Austin, he held every
elective office including the Presidency in
1973. He was instrumental in organizing the
HBA's Homeowners Warranty Council in
1977 and served as the first president. He was
recognized for his outstanding leadership and
professionalismandwas theHBA's unanimous
choice for the 1980 Builder of the Year. In 1992
he was awarded the Distinguished Excellence
Award and inducted into the Home Builders
Hall of Fame. Trigg was also active on both
the state and national levels. He served on
numerous committees, was Area IV Vice
President and in 1987 was elected President
of the Texas Association of Builders. He was
a Life Director of the Texas Association of
Builders and the National Association of
Home Builders.
Trigg was born June 8, 1933 inWimberley, TX
to Bryan W. Forister and Aline Trigg Forister
who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Darlyne Davis
Forister; son Wayne Forister and wife, Kim;
daughter Cindy Cain; and grandchildren, Josh
Trigg Forister, Tanner Cain, Austin Forister
Cain and Nicole Forister.
Trigg attended elementary school in
Wimberley, TX and graduated from San
Marcos High School in 1951. He graduated
with a B.B.A. from Southwest Texas State
Teachers College in 1956.

Creative Awards
The Texas Association of Builders
and E&M Consulting, Inc., were
honored for their outstanding work
at the 2015 Hermes Creative Awards.
The March/April 2014 Texas Builder issue featured
Risher Martin Fine Homes from Austin, Texas. The
cover, designed by E&M Consulting, Inc., received
honorable mention for best print media design for a
publication. Almost 6,000 submissions were received
for the competition from 23 different countries. This
award is presented for talent exceeding a high standard
of excellence and for work serving as a benchmark for
the industry.
Submissions for theHermesCreativeAwards came from
corporate marketing and communication departments,
advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production
companies and freelancers. Entries were evaluated
by judges from the Association of Marketing and
Communication Professionals (AMCP) on creativity
and resourcefulness in creating their media piece.
