4. Explain a little about your interior,
and all of the woodworking elements.
Our space is very open, with elements
tying back to Delaware’s most important
and unknown inventor, Oliver Evans. We
have a replica of America’s first self-
propelled car, invented by him in 1805,
hanging from our ceiling. To create the
signature elements for the space, we
turned to the folks at the Challenge
Program. They turned an 11’ fallen tree
into a simply stunning community table,
created our hostess stand, and developed
the beautiful flowing bench on the patio.
5. Plans for the future?
Our goal is to open one new location a
year in Delaware. We have been focusing
on building a team that can help us
support this growth to make sure every
guest gets the desired Grain experience.
