HOMEPAC
New Goals for a New Year
H
appy New Year! I’m excited
and honored to begin 2016 as
the new HOMEPAC Board of
Trustees Chairperson. As we
begin anew in 2016 with a contentious
electoral process for not only President
of the United States, but for our state
legislators, candidates are vying for the nod
of approval from millions of Texans. TAB
provides a great service to its members
by meeting with the many candidates
and elected officials throughout our
great state, educating them on the issues
important to the home building industry
and informing our membership of the
candidates supported by HOMEPAC.
HOMEPAC, the industry’s statewide
political
action
committee,
allows
TAB to support candidates that have
demonstrated an understanding and
commitment to issues affecting housing
affordability and Texas home buyers.
With contributions from dedicated TAB
members, HOMEPAC is able to financially
support the political campaigns of these
candidates for election. Maintaining the
power of HOMEPAC is only possible with
the help and support of TAB members.
TAB’s generous members aired their show
of support for HOMEPAC recently at the
TAB Fall Board Meetings & Excellence
in Leadership Dinner and during the
HOMEPAC Silent Auction that was held at
the Westin Downtown Austin. Contributions
for the week totaled upwards of $60,000,
from TAB members from across the state.
Each January marks a new fundraising
cycle for HOMEPAC, and each year a new
fundraising goal is set based upon the
membership numbers of each of our 28
local home builders associations.
In addition to investing in the strength
and well-being of the industry, your
HOMEPAC contribution strengthens
the presence of your local home builders
associations that receive recognition for
your contributions.
As the HOMEPAC Trustees Chairperson,
I challenge you to make a commitment to
donating in support of the future success of
the home building industry in Texas. Start
the 2016 year off right—join me today by
making a commitment to HOMEPAC.
