With the completion of four duplex units
on the grounds of St. John’s Presbyterian
Church, seven single mothers and their
children will find new hope for rebuilding
their lives. Miraculously, the rain held off
as a ribbon cutting ceremony, attended by
more than 200 guests, marked the occasion.
This was a HomeAid Houston project
that brought together Ryland Homes,
the Builder Captain, Masa Studio, the
architect, St. John’s Presbyterian Church
and Presbyterian Children’s Homes and
Services (PCHAS), a 501(c)3 ministry
dedicated to providing Christ-centered
programs throughout Texas, Louisiana and
Missouri. The Project is part of the PCHAS
Single Parent Family Program that provides
transitional housing and a warm, nurturing
environment to help foster the growth and
healing of single parent families.
