Throughout the month of September, the
ORA hosted Ohio Restaurant Political Action
Committee (PAC) events at member restaurants
throughout the state. On Sept. 12, the Ohio
Restaurant PAC held an event at The Hubbard
Grille in Columbus where attendees got to
interact with their peers and also hear from
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted (R) and
Ohio House Representative Michael Stinziano
(D), who represents the 25
th
District. Sheila
Trautner, ORA Board Member and owner of The
Hubbard Grille, hosted the event.
Cleveland area restaurateurs and foodservice
professionals attended the Ohio Restaurant
PAC event on Sept. 13 at Pickwick & Frolic,
which is owned by ORA Board Member Nick
Kostis. During the evening event, attendees
discussed the resurgence of Cleveland and
heard from Cuyahoga County Executive Ed
FitzGerald. He spoke to attendees about the
issues that face the city and its plans for
re-growth amid the flurry of development
along the lakeshore and within the city’s
many diverse neighborhoods.
