last
year,
Association Headquarters
(AH) has hosted the
Certificate in Association
Management Program in a number of
locations. Classes included a blend
of both association professionals and
vendors whose primary customers
were association professionals. The
amazing result was the unique
networking benefits that both
groups experienced.
Association professionals attending
the classes were able to not onlylearn
essential elements of association
management but were also able to
experience vendors in a different
light. They experienced vendors
attending the classes as serious
partners who were interested in
learning about the opportunities and
challenges associated with volunteer
leaders and members.
Vendors attending the classes
were able to spend quality time
with potential customers on a
much different level. They were
able to gain insight to the day-to-
day challenges that association
professionals encounter, often idea
storming how they might be able to
provide solutions in the future. The
result is a trusted partnership where
association professionals realize
that the vendors attending wanted
to better understand opportunities
where they might be able to provide
a solution.
Whether you have been in association
management for a few weeks or a
few years, it is always beneficial
to maximize learning experiences.
The Certificate in Association
Management program has received
