Texas Association of Builders
March/April 2015
President’s Commentary
and Convention Center in Grapevine,
Texas from July 28 to 30. This is one of
the most sought out resorts in the state as
it has 4.5 acres of lush indoor gardens and
a brand-new state of the art waterpark.
For those of you who have not attended
before, the Sunbelt Builders Show™ is
an annual regional industry event open
to residential construction professionals,
as well as your clients. It is a wonderful
opportunity to experience first-hand the
great new products and services that are
available, and speak face-to-face with
representatives from around the nation. I
encourage all members to attend the Show
and participate in TAB’s Summer Board
meetings held in conjunction with the
event. Sunbelt Committee Chairs Carol
Longacre and Tiffany Acree are working
hard with the local community to make it
the best in recent years.
The Show opens with the Government
Relations Committee meeting, followed
by the TAB HOMEPAC Board of Trustees
hosting the ever-popular FUNdango,
a family-friendly party, as well as the
Second Annual Washers Championship
on Tuesday evening, July 28. The Sunbelt
Trade Show Floor will be open Wednesday
and Thursday, July 29-30. This year’s Show
hours will be 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. leaving
plenty of opportunity to enjoy this world-
class resort with your family. TAB’s Board
of Directors meeting wraps up the week at
Noon on Friday, July 31. Show and hotel
reservations are set to open on March 9.

New Sunbelt
Builders Show™ Website:
With the 2015 Sunbelt Builders Show™
just five months away, the Texas
Association of Builders recently unveiled
a redesigned SunbeltBuildersShow.com.
The new look has been streamlined for
easier navigation and is a responsive
design that works well with smart phones
and tablets. Attendees and exhibitors will
be able to register, purchase event tickets
and view sponsorship opportunities
online. In addition, there will be the
ability to track Show hours, opening and
general sessions plus the education session
timelines, read background information
on the keynote speakers, and flip through
the 2015 Show Guide online.
I could go on and on, but with Texas
leading the nation in home building, we
all have work to do. This year promises
to be the best ever, and it is through your
hard work that the Texas Association of
Builders continues to stay one lap ahead
of the rest! So until next time, I will leave
you with the immortal words of Ricky
Bobby, “If you ain’t first, you’re last.”
